Texas Scottish Rite Hospital for Children (TSRHC) was founded in Dallas, Texas, by Texas Masons in 1921 to treat children afflicted by polio. Masons have long been involved in the history of the Hospital, and their continued commitment and support are vital to the Hospital's future success in caring for the needs of the children of Texas. TSRHC is one of the nation's leading pediatric centers for the treatment of orthopedic conditions, certain related neurological problems, and learning differences. The Hospital provides the children of Texas with the finest medical care, conducting innovative research that enables the Hospital's doctors and surgeons to provide comprehensive, world-class treatment to more than 14,000 children each year, without ever charging a patient's family.

One of the many ways you can help the Hospital remain committed to its mission of putting children first is by purchasing holiday cards designed by the Hospital's young clients. Patient-designed holiday cards have been a holiday tradition at TSRHC since 1991. These special cards depict the childlike joy that fills us all during the holiday season and are a meaningful way to send holiday cheer to your friends, co-workers, and loved ones. Purchasing these holiday cards helps the Hospital continue offering the finest medical treatment to its patients. All proceeds from the sale of these cards go directly to the care of the patients of TSRHC.

The Hospital's patients have created three festive holiday card designs for giving during the 2003 holiday season. "Patchwork" (above left) is a collaborative work of art that showcases the designs of 9-year-old Erin of Carrollton, Texas; 5-year-old Johnathan of Odessa, Texas; 6-year-old Briana of Southlake, Texas; 10-year-old Raven of Little Elm, Texas; and 9-year-old Emily of Dallas, Texas. "Twilight Snowman" (above right) was designed by 9-year-old Erin of Carrollton, Texas. "Holiday Ornaments" (below) was designed by 14-year-old Sarah of Slocum, Texas.

Make these beautiful cards a part of your holiday tradition and brighten the lives of the patients at TSRHC. You can purchase sets of 20 cards and envelopes for $10 each, plus shipping and handling. Personalized imprinting is also available. To order these special holiday cards, please call TSRHC at (214) 559-7683 (in Dallas), (800) 421-1121, ext. 7683. MasterCard, VISA, American Express, and Discover are accepted for payment. Please place orders by December 5 to assure delivery before Christmas.
