My father, Randall F. Dainty, 32° (pictured below left), is a member of the Scottish Rite, Valley of Kennewick, Washington. He is also a member of Dumas Lodge No. 1009, Dumas, Texas. My father is a good man and has lived his life in a way that all his Masonic Brethren can admire.

Daddy guided me with love when I was a young woman and pointed me towards the Masonic Family. I went into Job's Daughters at the ripe age of 12. My father was very proud that night. I learned so very much in Job's Daughters, and I feel it has helped me in many ways to grow up with knowledge of the Bible and with the understanding that we should all respect each other. I also went into the Order of the Eastern Star in California many years ago, and I hope to become active again in the near future here in Oklahoma.

I would like to say, "Thank you, Dad, for all the knowledge of good things that came with being part of the Masonic Family!" Also, "Thank you to Freemasonry for all the good work of the Craft in the world." We need more men to be part of this wonderful organization. Today's members have surely made a difference, and I pray that their work continues, as it has since ancient times. I have been asked if Freemasons believe in God. Daddy put it well, "What do you think the G in the Square and Compasses stands for?"

I read the Scottish Rite Journal from time to time, and I am always amazed to learn about the famous men who have been or are members of the Order. Thank you very much for taking the time to read this message, and to all Freemasons, I say, "Keep up the good work!"
