RED ALERT! It’s true! We’ve Moved! The Supreme Council’s web site address has changed. You shouted, we listened. End of story. We’ve heard it all before. Our old web address was difficult to remember, and that’s putting it mildly. But, this one’s easy; it’s a change for the better. How easy is it? Well, what address could be better than the fraternity’s name? That’s right—Scottish Rite! Our new address is:

Not only do we have a new address, but soon our entire new site will be unveiled! Are you a bit of a voyeur? Check back often and watch us change. Ooh La La! Our new site will be user-friendly and will offer fresh pages and features. We’ll have resources for members, clinics, prospective members, and visitors, and will give guests a glimpse of the Scottish Rite’s history, membership, and our charitable endeavors.

Ever visited one of those websites where the home page featured current news? (Rumor has it, they really exist.) The fact is, some are so interesting you might actually want to come back to the page again and again to see what’s new. Well, now that’s us. Now hear this! You will bookmark our site in your “favorites” list!

So, what else is new? Check this out: One of our features will turn the limelight on your activities with brethren from across the nation. You heard me right—National coverage! Your local Masonic news will be on our national home page. Could life get any sweeter?

So, how about it? Does your lodge or Scottish Rite Valley have news you’d like to share? Wanna see your lodge in lights? Maybe you just opened a new RiteCare Clinic, or you hosted an amazing Masonic lecture presented by the infamous and current Grand Master of Arizona… or you won the Mayor’s Award for your float at the parade last weekend. (Gee, was that another ten-foot tall papier-mâché Square and Compass?). Have any news like this? Now you, too, can submit it our new web site.

The Fine Print. Okay, so you’re a convert, now how do you get copy? The short answer is you must submit … your article that is. :) We welcome submissions from Masonic organizations of any type. Remember, less is more! The best articles are those that are kept short, which include a digital photo. Articles should be approximately 200 words and should be submitted as a Microsoft Word document or in the body of an email message to Heather Calloway at hcalloway@scottishrite.org.

Are you the sentimental type? (That’s okay … so am I.) Well, you’ll still be able to visit shades of our old site on the Internet Archive’s “Wayback Machine” (homage to Mr. Peabody, the genius dog in Rocky and Bullwinkle) www.archive.org.

Welcome home and enjoy our new site!

Special thanks to Ill. Bros. Bill Moseley, Secretary, Don Smith, Personal Representative and the Brethren of the Valley of Spartanburg, in the Orient of South Carolina, who owned the scottishrite.org domain name and gave it to the Supreme Council for use by all Scottish Rite Masons.
